Nursery Admissions

Admissions to nursery classes

Thank you for expressing an interest in Whitehill Community Academy Nursery!

We offer both 15 and 30 hour funded places. All children aged 3-4 years old are entitled to the universal 15 hours of funded nursery care, parents are not required to apply for this, school will apply on your behalf.

Please see below details for eligibility criteria for 30 hours of funded nursery care, which parents must apply for directly on the Gov.uk website.

  • Your child must be three or four years old;
  • Both parents must be working, or the sole parent is working in a lone parent family;
  • Each parent earns, on average, a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours at National Minimum Wage, or National Living Wage;
  • Each parent must have an annual income of less than £100,000.
  • Parents on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or those unable to work due to disability or who have caring responsibilities can also still be eligible.

Sessions

The universal 15 hours of funded care can be taken as two full days and one half day at either the beginning or end of the week, or 5 morning only sessions. The 30 hours of funded care can be taken as five full days 8:25am-2:25pm or alternatively you can opt for 3 or 4 full days using only part of your 30 hours of funding. You do not have to use the full 30 hours.

If you have any specific requirements, please contact school directly or email nurseryadmissions@whitehillacademy.org
