We understand the importance of healthy eating and a balanced diet in making sure our pupils are ready to learn and children have the option of dinners at the academy or bringing a packed lunch.

Our lunches are all made on sight, and cost £2.10 per day. Options include sandwiches, a choice of hot meals and desserts, including fruit. Menus work on a three week rolling programme, and include a Halal menu on certain days. Special dietary requirements can be catered for upon request.

Lunch is eaten in the hall in one of three sittings: Reception, KS1 and Year 3 and then Year 4, 5 & 6. Nursery children eat in a seperate dining hall within the Nursery unit. Children who bring in a packed lunch also eat in the hall. Parents are asked to support our approach to healthy eating if their child brings a packed lunch, and to help us meet health and safety requirements by ensuring that children do not bring hot food or drink in flasks and that drinks are sent in unbreakable plastic containers.

Milk and snacks

Milk and a healthy snack are provided for children during their time in Nursery and Reception (milk is provided for free until your child turns 5).

Children in Key Stage 1 are provided with a free piece of fruit or vegetable each day.

Children in Key Stage 2 can bring in a healthy snack for playtime, but this needs to be a piece of fruit or vegetables only.
